Challenges & Solutions

Challenge 1 – Limited space for walk-in configuration

The room footprint made it difficult to include a full wet room layout.

Solution:
We redesigned the layout based on precise measurements and introduced a slimline tray with minimal threshold, ensuring both accessibility and usability.

Challenge 2 – Uneven walls and moisture damage

The original structure showed signs of moisture infiltration and poor previous tiling.

Solution:
All walls were corrected, re-boarded where needed, and fully tanked to guarantee long-term waterproofing.

Challenge 3 – Achieving perfect alignment with herringbone tiles

The textured herringbone pattern required precision to look clean and symmetrical.

Solution:
Each tile was individually calibrated with laser alignment to maintain a consistent rhythm across the entire wall.

Results

  • Sleek, modern wet room with strong contrast and premium materials
  • Fully waterproofed environment built for durability
  • Dark herringbone feature wall becomes an architectural focal point
  • Increased comfort thanks to rainfall shower and open walk-in layout
  • Practical and visually striking upgrade to the property
